Brittany Nielsen
President, EA

As the owner and President of Open Door Accounting LLC, Brittany offers over 25 years of hands-on experience in accounting, tax preparation and strategies, and office management to work for you and your company. As of May 2022, she is recognized by the IRS as an Enrolled Agent (a federally authorized tax practitioner) by completing 3 rigorous tax exams and continued education requirements of 72 hours every 3 years. She is also the region’s first and only Profit First Professional to date! She is also a QuickBooks Pro Advisor, QuickBooks Online Certified, and QB Time Pro Advisor. Brittany offers tested and trusted expertise to cultivate sustainable business practices for your profession, people, and profit. She has worked both corporately and independently over the years providing quality, personalized, accounting customer service to clients in the Paducah, Benton, Murray, and surrounding areas. She has worked in industries such as radio, environmental, construction, trucking, landscape, real estate, restaurant supply & service, daycare, massage therapy, and more.
Vicki Heath
Accounting Lead and Office Manager

Vicky joined our team in August of 2022. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from MSU and has worked in accounting for 20+ years holding positions such as Business Office Manager and Director of Business Operations in the education industry. She is quiet and focused and adds a great level of professionalism to our team. Her “put your head down and just get it done” attitude has already accomplished so much! She handles the daily activity on some of our heaviest clients with such ease. We also love her infectious moments of laughter that carry through the office when you have forgotten she is even there because she has been so quiet. She is happily married to her husband, Dale, and enjoys her church and spending all her spare time in the great outdoors……AND cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals!
Donna Floyd
Remote Accounting Lead & Team Manager

Donna joined our team in January 2022. She has an amazing work ethic, accuracy, and efficiency that supports ODA with personal annual tax return entry, payroll and payroll tax processing, and accounting assistance for many “after-the-fact” accounting clients. Donna is always eager and willing to help support our staff remotely (and occasionally in the office). Donna lives in Texas with her dogs and enjoys time with her children and grandchildren and making clay creations with her sister.
Tiffany Haws

Tiffany joined the ODA team in March of 2022 as an Accounting Assistant. She was the co-owner of a construction company and has a broad background in the banking industry. She also has an Associate in Office Systems Technology with Legal Administration Assistant Option from WKCTC. She adds a special level of fun and energy (and snacks) to our office. Her bright, cheerful, can-do personality supports clients with excellent customer service and care. She works diligently to keep several clients keyed up, balanced, and ready for regular reviews and she is always ready to conquer a new project. She is an amazing mother too! Thank you, Tiffany! We are glad to have you on our team.
Chris Nielsen

Chris Nielsen, a Virginia native, has made her home in West Virginia with her family since 1999. She has 20+ years of experience in office administration, enjoying positions ranging from AP/AR/Payroll and office manager to executive assistant in an international corporation. Chris also spent 7 years in the local non-profit sector where she developed programmatic, organizational, and financial plans and cultivated client relationships. Chris joined the ODA family in July of 2023 and is excited to share her love of hockey (Go Caps!) and birds. And Starbucks Chai! Can’t forget the Chai!!
Saraya Young
Administrative Assistant

Saraya Young has taken on the role as Administrative Assistant. With a background in Psychology and Business, she graduated from Murray State University in December 2023, where she excelled both academically and athletically as a member of the university’s soccer team. Saraya’s exceptional leadership and teamwork skills are the qualities that she brings to her role as an Administrative Assistant. Her ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and adapt to fast-paced environments makes her the perfect fit for us. She has jumped in and already begun to make our office processes flow smoothly by leaps and bounds. Outside of work, Saraya is deeply passionate about animals, with two dogs and a cat of her own. She actively supports animal welfare initiatives and enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring nature trails with her furry companions. She finds joy in staying active and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Kailey Deecke

Kailey has been with Open Door Accounting, LLC since August of 2018. Kailey graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Graphics Communications Media from Murray State University in May of 2020. She is now full-time handling all our Marketing and Client/Public Relations. She is there for us in any way needed and helps us to provide the best personal service to each of our clients whom we love. Kailey is married to her husband, Zach and they have a one-year-old son, Franklin. She enjoys spending her time outside of work getting coffee, watching movies, going to the gym and anything crafty!
Alyssa Wallace
Accounting and Tax Advisory Intern

Alyssa joined Open Door Accounting in August of 2023 as a part time accounting intern. She is currently a senior at Murray State University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and a minor in real estate. She has many college accomplishments including ’23-’24 Vice President of Beta Gamma Sigma (International Business Honors Society), Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business Student Ambassador, and a member of the Accounting Society, AICPA, and KyCPA. Upon her graduation in May of 2024, she plans to pursue her CPA certification. She has been handling full accounting for a few of our clients as well as training on tax returns and some admin work to become fully acclimated to our processes. Wise beyond her years, she has already proven to be a very valuable asset in just a few short months! Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, cats, and photography.

Saphera has been a part of the ODA team since it began. All visitors must pass her rigorous, up-close & personal inspection upon entry to our office. She spends most of her days bouncing from office to office getting love, butt scratches, scraps, treats, and napping. She also whines…….A LOT!!! It’s a hard job, but someone must do it!
